2026 TRYOUT DATES & TIMES

Friday, April 17 will be the make-up tryout date for all ages. Tryout Time: 6-8 PM

PLAYER TRYOUT RESULTS:

Player selection will be based on a combination of tryout results and coach recommendations. The East Penn Rush selection committee will collaborate with coaches to finalize the roster for the upcoming 2026/2027. seasons. Accepted players will receive notifications as soon as possible after the conclusion of tryouts. All players are encouraged to attend both tryout dates.

Players who receive an invitation to join a team will be provided a deadline to accept the invitation. An initial non-refundable commitment fee will be charged and is required to hold a player's spot. It is essential to note that having previously played for a team does not guarantee a spot on a team for the next season.



  • Who should attend tryouts?

    New Players not currently registered with East Penn Rush.

    All East Penn Rush Players must attend the designated tryout times, as it is the final step in their evaluation process.

  • What is your evaluation criteria?

    During tryouts, our coaching staff focuses on a range of attributes to determine each player’s suitability for different teams within the East Penn Rush framework. Here’s what we look for:


    • Technical Abilities: Skills with the ball, including dribbling, passing, and shooting.
    • Tactical Understanding: Awareness of game strategy, positioning, and decision-making on the field.
    • Physical Attributes: General fitness, speed, agility, and endurance.
    • Psychological Factors: Mental toughness, attitude, teamwork, and the ability to handle pressure and adversity.

  • What if I can't make tryouts?

    Interested in joining East Penn Rush but missed the tryouts? No problem! We offer open training opportunities where players can join practice sessions with existing teams. This allows both the coaches and you to assess the best fit for your developmental needs before committing to a team.

  • Do you have open training opportunities?

    Any player who is interested in joining the East Penn Rush Competitive division can do so at anytime! There is no need to wait until tryouts. Players are invited to train with a East Penn Rush team in their respective age group to determine the best developmental placement for them.  Please complete the interest form at the bottom of this page if you are interested in an open training opportunity.

TRYOUT ASSESSMENT:

Players will be assessed for our Travel, Elite, and Rush Premier Teams. Our qualified coaches will be using state of the art tryout software to assess the players. Coaches will be using their mobile phones and iPads to collect the tryout data. Players selected to join a team will be invited to participate during the Fall/Winter/Spring 2026/2027 seasonal year.

TRYOUT DAY EXPECTATION:

Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to start time. Review your check-in time. Parents/guardians must register the player prior to the tryout session. Players will be issued a tryout pinnie with a unique number.

Technical and Physical Capacity Testing

Thanks to our partnership with Jamel Mitchell Fitness all U14 - U19 players who are invited to play at the premier and elite level will also be tested to measure their Speed and Agility through the use of data capturing laser technology. These players will also be scheduled to attend strength and agility sessions run by a professional fitness trainer.

Team Selection:

East Penn Rush only forms a select number of teams in order to provide players and families with the best experience possible. We believe in quality and not quantity. Travel, Elite, and Premier teams will be formed for each age group, but we will only select certain players that meet the criteria.

EAST PENN FIELDS

East Penn Rush teams currently practice and play their home games at Adams Ricci Park and the East Pennsboro Middle and Elementary School in Enola, PA. These fields are conveniently located 15 minutes away from Harrisburg, PA and are only an average of 15 minutes away from Camp Hill, Mechanicsburg, and Dillsburg, PA. Our natural grass turf fields are regularly maintained through our partnership with the township and the school district. We also have our Indoor Training Facility located in Camp Hill, PA.
