Year Round Season
Competitive teams are formed in the spring/summer of each year through open tryouts and evaluations. Players are accepted to their team for a one – year (12-month) commitment beginning July 1 to June 30th the following year. Players are also accepted during the season by filling out an interest form.
The Competitive program requires travel to local, regional and/or out-of-state tournaments. Individual teams compete at various levels depending upon the competitive needs of the players involved.
U11-U19 Teams
In the U11-U19 age groups, there is a first team (Rush), a second team (Nero) and a third team (Azul) in each age group, when numbers allow. In the U9-U10 age groups, there is a first team (Blue), a second team (White) and a third team (Gray) in each age group, when numbers allow. This level is referred to as the Youth Academy. Whichever the case, players have made a decision to play competitive soccer and are placed based upon their passion, needs and ability.

Player Placement
Every year in late April and early May, our club conducts its annual tryouts to place players on a team based on their abilities. Those tryouts take hundreds of man hours to look at hundreds, possibly thousands of players in a short period of time.
Therefore, once a player has joined a Rush team, we continue to measure their technical and tactical abilities along with their physical and psychological attributes. A tryout period does not allow us to fully rate players accurately. For these reasons, players will be observed throughout the entire year by their team Head Coach and Director of Coaching at training sessions and games. They will then be consequently placed more accurately within the Rush system. Evaluations will be based on the previously mentioned components in addition to attendance, attitude, team chemistry, and consistency, to name a few.
Fees
Competitive fees are for a full seasonal year and can range based on team participation. Payment can be made in full or in multiple installments. Customizable payment plans can also be requested. Financial aid is available for those who need it.
Team fees and schedules will be established and provided to all participants attending East Penn Rush tryouts and prior to a player’s acceptance of a spot on a team.
All fees include Fall, Winter, and Spring league fees, referee fees, player registration fees, outdoor & Indoor training fees, regular field rental expenses and maintenance, tournament fees, game, and coach fees.
The fees DO NOT include player travel expenses, uniform, and winter tournament fees.

Player Pathway
Our Competitive Program exists to allow any player, irrespective of ability, the opportunity to take their game to the height of their potential. Additional divisions within our Competitive Program give our top level players more elite playing opportunities. For our top players, their goals should include playing on their respective Rush Elite team, Rush Select XI Regional teams and Rush Select XI National teams. Players identified by the technical directors will also have the opportunity to guest play with Rush teams that participate in the ECNL, MLS Next, and Girls Academy leagues.
For our club, our goal is to push our players to reach that "next level" by allowing our members as many opportunities within our local club and national Rush network to improve their overall game all while providing an unparalleled youth soccer experience.
